We are celebrating 10 years of Funked It Up and as it's December it's double whammy with the return of Festive Funkery from the 9 piece band!
10 years ago a group of musicians came together to play a random charity gig at Hotel Football on five a side football pitch…strange beginnings but with no practice and a vague plan the band blew the roof off and Funked It Up was born!
Over the years the 7 piece added a trombone players to create a lush brass section and a female vocalist to expand the repertoire. Now a 9 piece band, Funked It Up, have been playing shows and running their own club night for a decade and it’s time to celebrate.
So get down to the Carlton Club to see Funked It Up dishing out massive servings of everything from Funk, Disco, Funky Pop, Northern Soul, Motown and Soul music
And as it’s December…sure ok there will be a few Festive Funky ones
