Christmas is coming to Wythenshawe Hall and this years theme is the 12 Days of Christmas. As well as having all of the beautiful decorations in each of the main rooms in the house, there will be specific displays giving clues to each of the gifts that were given throughout the song and also possible meanings behind each of the verses.
There will be musical entertainment in the Library. Acoustic Attitude will perform from 1 to 2.15pm on Saturday and Sunday and we will also have Beth Bishop from 3-4pm on Sunday.
There will be a magician in the dining room on both days and if the weather allows he may even venture out to entertain the queue for Santa's Grotto...
Speaking of the man in red, he will be in his Grotto next to the Tenant's Hall from 11am to 4pm on both days. As it is always very busy come early, wrap up warm and be prepared to queue. (Follow the signs as it is separate to the entrance for the main building.)
The queue for Santa will close at 2pm to avoid disappointment and ensure everyone is able to see him by 4pm, .
Make sure you look out for the Grinch, he will be anywhere and everywhere all at once. Whatever you do don't wind him up though, he has been known to hang children up by their ankles!
No need to book, just come and enjoy.
If possible please bring cash as we do not have card facilities and the phone signal can be very temperamental due to the amount of trees .
