Enter the murky and fantastical world of mythical beings with internationally award winning saxophonist/composer Tom Thorp and ILUMETRIS. Playing material from their critically acclaimed album Here, There be Monsters… (AMP Records), ILUMETRIS blend lyrical melody, virtuosic improvisation and vivid musical storytelling for a deep dive into the characters of ancient mythology and folklore. Profound; at times light hearted and with moments of real menace, this is an ever changing, ever engaging journey from some of the UK’s most creative improvisers.
