Articulating Your Theatrical Aesthetic
What makes theatre beautiful to you? This month, we’ll explore the images, sounds, and moments that have shaped our creative taste and discover the unique “fingerprint” that drives each of our artistic choices. Make your limited resources work for you and find freedom within constrictions of time, space, and budget.
Join us for a morning of exploration and experimentation led by Artistic Director Matt Cahoon.
theatre KAPOW hosts open trainings in acting, movement, improvisation, voice, speech, object work, suzuki, viewpoints, and more. Company members have trained with Double Edge Theatre Company, Tectonic Theater Project, La Mama Experimental Theatre Club, the Michael Chekhov Studio, Shakespeare & Company, The Atlantic Acting School and SITI Company, and draw on these techniques and methods for their work.
Training is open to everyone 16 and older, with any level of experience, or none! Participants should come comfortably dressed to move (no jeans).
Pay what you can, $5 recommended. Cash can be paid at the door. SPACE IS LIMITED - please reserve a ticket
