Plant Hammering + Intro to Embroidery

Learn how to transfer flowers' and leaves' natural pigment to fabric by hammering the plants themselves. Once a pigment has been hammered, create line work on your piece through basic embroidery stitches.

Participants will leave with two mirror image pieces that can be framed, sewn into another project, or put into an embroidery hoop. Flowers and leaves from local gardens, fabric, hammers, needles, and threads provided. Frames, other fabrics, and hoops not included.

Please note that this workshop will be noisy, with multiple people hammering at the same time. You are welcome to bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to loud noises.

Class requires 4 registered participants to run. Registration closes 10/10.
