Epiphany Lessons and Carols

Following the model of Advent or Christmas Lessons and Carols, this service will alternate scripture (and other) readings with some of the great hymns of the church and beautiful choral selections by the choirs of St. Peter's under the direction of Steven Patchel.

From the Greek word for "manifestation," the Epiphany season highlights three “firsts” in Jesus’ life, three major epiphanies—the visit of the Magi or wise men, his baptism in the River Jordan, and his first miracle at Cana.

Music will include the hymns "Brightest and Best" and "How Brightly Shines the Morningstar" as well as choral music of Felix Mendelssohn and John Rutter.
