Hike Crystal Lake Ice Caves

Saturday, Sept 27 | 6 am – 6 pm
After hiking the first 3 difficult miles through dense forest and rocky hillsides the trail will open to a picture-perfect plateau with sweeping views in all directions to include sights of the Absarokee, Crazy and, on a clear day, the Grand Teton mountain ranges. Once at the caves we will pause for lunch to admire the impressive 100-foot-wide limestone walls with towers of ice columns that appear to be growing from the frozen floor.
Mileage: 10 miles (out and back)
Elevation Gain: 2,200 Feet
Difficulty: Difficult
Signups End: September 18
Cost: $35
Includes: Instruction/guide, transportation, walking sticks, and snacks
Ages: 17 and older (age 17 must be accompanied by an adult)
