Georges Paul – Tenor Saxophone
Georges Paul’s music is defined by an explosive deconstruction of sonic material, where sound is approached as both a physical phenomenon and a topos of critical inquiry. His work sublates pseudo-dipoles such as composition/improvisation, noise/pitch, acoustic/electronic, destabilizing binary logic systems that dominate music discourse. Employing extended techniques, fractured timbres and spectral densities as structural force, Paul creates a volatile and constantly shifting aural field. His music resists resolution, favoring tension, collapse, and emergence. Sounds are pulled apart, reconfigured, or left unresolved, allowing contradiction to traverse the sonic field. Embracing unpredictability and excess, Paul’s practice evokes a dialectic of disruption, where every sonic gesture interrogates its own becoming. His performances unfold reflections as abstract topographies – non-linear, tactile, and charged with eruptive intensity.
Jon Lipscomb – Guitar
With a heavy emphasis on free improv, noise, and free jazz, Malmö based guitarist Jon Lipscomb (USA) conjures dissonant extremes with raw power. The guitar becomes a platform for atonal swirls and microscopic polyrhythmic pangs described by the Wire as “...challenging music ..not to be listened to in a fragile state of mind.”
He performs in the U.S.A. and Europe and has collaborated and improvised with Brandon Lopez, Tim Berne, Anders Lindsjö, Wendel Patrick, Lydia Lunch, Ryan Sawyer, Ole Mofjell, Johannes Nästerjö, Jaimie Branch, Kresten Osgood, Martin Kuchen, Ian McColm, Amirtha Kidambi, Iku Mori, Jason Nazary, Andrew Smiley, Luke Stewart, Zach Rowden, Chris Pistiokios, Ola Rubin, Aesger Thomsen and Anders Uddeskog.
Projects include solo improvisation, the Hite Wouse, the Swedish Fix, Nästy Lips, Lipscomb Quartet, Loplop, duo with Tilda Björnberg, Liminoid trio, and ad hoc meetings.
Anders Uddeskog – Drums
Local drummer Anders Uddeskog has been a mainstay in the Malmö scene. Utilizing polyrhythmic intensity and cascading timeless gestures, he creates a backdrop fresh for improvisation. Working with local act Bomb, has has toured Europe and and UK. Collaborations include Evan Parker, John Russel, Ola Rubin, Lotte Anker, and his graphic design is featured on many Konvoj Records releases.
