Join us in the lead-up to the highly anticipated Malanda Bull Ride on Saturday, 11th October, with an opportunity to meet the cowboys on Thursday, 9th October at The BIG Pub – Malanda Hotel.

The evening will feature the Open Bull Ride Draw alongside the thrilling Calcutta Auction – a unique and entertaining prelude to the weekend’s main event.

🐮 What is a Calcutta Auction?
A Calcutta Auction adds a fun and competitive twist to the bull riding action. The elite Open Bull Riders will be divided into teams, and each team will be auctioned off to attendees.

🔹 The team with the highest aggregated points after Saturday’s competition will be declared the winner.
🔹 The person or syndicate who "owns" the winning team will take home 60% of the auction pool.
🔹 The runner-up team’s owner(s) will receive 40% of the pool.

Even if you're not bidding, this is a great opportunity to meet the riders, soak up the atmosphere, and kick off the Malanda Bull Ride weekend in style.
