A 4 Week Journey - Untangling the roots of fawn, freeze, and self-abandonment
Through the lens of Polyvagal Theory (vagus nerve) we will untangle the roots of fawning by cultivating nervous system safety, boundaries, and embodied presence.
Is this a familiar feeling?
Do you find yourself saying “yes” when you really mean “no”?
Do you overextend yourself to avoid conflict, or feel responsible for keeping the peace?
Do you feel guilty, anxious, or disconnected when you try to prioritise your own needs?
Feeling drained and exhausted?
Feeling resentful in relationships?
This is not a character flaw. It is a nervous system survival response.
What Is People Pleasing?
People pleasing is more than a habit. It is a protective strategy known as the fawn response. It is the way your body and nervous system learned to keep you safe in relationships by avoiding rejection, conflict, or danger.
While this strategy once protected you, over time it can leave you feeling:
Disconnected from your own needs and desires
Stuck in cycles of over giving and exhaustion
Guilty or anxious when setting boundaries
Unsure of who you are outside of others’ expectations
Healing people pleasing is not about forcing yourself to stop. It is about gently expanding your nervous system capacity so you can choose connection without abandoning yourself.
Each Week Includes
Gentle nervous system education
Somatic mapping and felt-sense awareness
Kundalini kriyas for self trust & empowerment
Breath work and vagal toning practices
Sound healing with gong, mantra, and vocal toning
Integration time and space for personal pacing
You will learn to honour the edges of your experience and build capacity to stay present with both tenderness and strength

For You, Just As You Are
This course is for anyone who struggles with people pleasing or feels disconnected from their own needs. Whether you are navigating stress, burnout, or simply want to feel more at home in your body, this course will support you.
No prior yoga or somatic experience is needed.
Just bring your breath, your body, and your willingness to explore.

Facilitator:
With over a decade of experience in trauma-trained practice, Lucinda integrates the wisdom of Kundalini Yoga, yoga therapy, somatic psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry, and currently completing Somatic Experiencing. Her approach bridges science and soul - offering embodied nervous system healing that is grounded, sacred, and deeply supportive.
