Maitland Getdown Downtown

Maitland's Getdown Downtown street party hits the beach with a very special Florida-themed holiday event from 6 to 9 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 5, on Independence Lane.

The big event will feature live music from Jimmy Buffett tribute group The Landsharks Band. This premiere music tribute group has performed all over the world including the Super Bowl, Disney, Universal Studios and at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.

They have shared the stage with Jimmy Buffett, himself, as well as and the Beach Boys, Bob Marley's Wailers, Patti Labelle, Pablo Cruise, Alan Jackson, the Black-Eyed Peas, Three Dog Night, WAR and Inner Circle.

Enjoy the show with food trucks, vendors and downtown restaurants such as Houndstooth Kitchen & Eatery, Brewlando Brewing, Boku Sushi, Parea Greek Taverna, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream and Lazy Moon Pizza.

Grab a free Hawaiian lei and hang ten with a mechanical surfboard simulator. Set the kids loose on a bounce house.

Parking is available south of the park on Packwood Avenue and north on Horatio Avenue.
