From Letters to Literature: Gill Hornby at the Archives

Gill Hornby’s work includes several best-selling historical novels that vividly recreate the world of Jane Austen, including Godmersham Park and The Elopement. Another, Miss Austen, was recently adapted into an acclaimed BBC series starring Keeley Hawes. In this event, Gill talks about the books as well as her research for them, examining original records and manuscripts of the Knight and Austen families in the search room of Kent Archives.
