Why Book the Full Term?
The full benefits of the Forest School ethos come through long-term, regular sessions, where children build confidence, trust, and deep connection with the woodland, mentors, and peers.
To ensure the viability of sessions and the commitment of staff, we ask families to book for the full term wherever possible.

What to Expect Each Week
Every Friday offers a blend of seasonal magic, practical skills, and child-led play. We meet children where they are—building on their interests, scaffolding how they learn, and weaving in exciting woodcraft skills and sensory provocations inspired by the season.
🌿 Seasonal foraging & plant focus – Identify, gather, and cook with wild plants (Mimi is a qualified Herbalist).
🍁 Autumn woodland wonders – Celebrate the season through hands-on, sensory learning:
• Conker challenges and woodland games
• Leaf dyes, printing, and mandalas in fiery autumn colours
• Acorn and seed crafts to spark creativity
• Tasting hedgerow snacks (rosehips, blackberries, hawthorn haws)
• Discovering fungi, berries, and the secrets of seed dispersal
• Exploring how woodland animals prepare for winter—from squirrels to hedgehogs
🔥 Campfire cooking & shared meals – Build independence and life skills around the fire.
🎨 Wild art, journaling & nature photography – Creative expression rooted in nature.
🛠 Woodwork, bushcraft & tool use – Guided projects that build confidence and skills.
🌱 Eco-conservation & woodland care – Learning to tend and give back to the land.
✏️ Storytelling, games & reflection – Fostering imagination, empathy, and emotional literacy.
There’s space for every child—whether climbing, crafting, cooking, swinging in hammocks, or simply being still.
🍲 Mid-morning snack & hot lunch provided – all cutlery, cups, and bowls supplied.
