It's spring and that means we're on the cusp of festival time, which kicks-off with WORTstock on 5/18, AND we get the festivities going alil' early with a Warm-up Party the weekend prior to our big party in Warner Park.
✴️ On SATURDAY, MAY 10th, 2:30 to 6pm, The Malt House graciously hosts a SPRING SHINDIG -our 3rd year there- with an afternoon of music & merriment on their lovely patio. WORT is again blessed to have acclaimed performers for the party!
⭐️ MICHELLE DUVALL & DOUG BROWN - Doug and Michelle delight audiences with their sublime renditions of classic jazz standards. With Brown on guitar and DuVall on vocals, they perform as a playful duo, with a stellar 2 decade+ bio of concerts, inc. Jazz at Five and Isthmus Jazz Fest. We're honored to have them start off the show around 3pm.
⭐️ HOLLER HOME - Holler Home mixes classic bluegrass with country & rock covers, so here's something for everyone. A 4-piece of Madison locals who have various groups (and jams) in common over the years - it's bluegrass with a "country lean," and 3 - 4 part harmonies. They've performed at Wild Hog in the Woods and Harmony Bar, among the many venues they've played. 5pm
⭐️ WORT DJ Brian Hirsh, host of the radio shows Green Morning Radio and 12 inches to 12, brings his awesome musical knowledge, spinning before & between the bands.
🎶 THE MALT HOUSE is a bastion of folk and bluegrass music in our area, providing live entertainment at their charming civil war-era tavern (Madison's oldest!), with music on their patio in the summer/early fall.

• This event is family friendly! Malt House has a selection of soft drinks (craft root beer!), as well as N/A offerings.
• The Malt House is located at the intersection of Milwaukee St. & East Wash - 2609 E. Washington Ave. (parking lot in the back, off Milwaukee St. - ample bicycle parking in front).
• There's No Cover, but Donations for the performers & WORT are Encouraged 🙏 • RAIN or SHINE; We'll shindig inside the tavern in the event of showers.
