Sand Mold Carving for Iron Casting

2 Workshop Dates Available:
Saturday, February 7, 2pm-4pm
Sunday, February 8, 1pm-3pm

Choose a pre-made sand mold to carve in a relief-style design in preparation for FeLion Studios' Pour’n Yer Heart Out iron casting event at Garver Feed Mill! No experience required! All materials provided. Registration open until February 6, 2026.

During this mentored workshop, participants learn tips and tricks to carving directly into sand molds to create a low-profile relief (one-sided) sculpture using dental tools, sanding sticks and inspiring examples to help envision what’s possible.

Finished molds are will be poured on February 14, 2026 at Garver Feed Mill, during the community iron pour event (Pour'n Yer Heart Out), which will begin at 6pm on event day.
