MCL Women's Retreat 2025: Finding Our Worth in Christ

Welcome to the 2025 MCL Women's Retreat!

Sometimes it feels like just about anything can make us question our worth - from personal failures to a critical remark from our child, or even a perfect party hosted by that woman who "has it all together."

We were never meant to be so easily shaken. We need to dust ourselves off, take a deep breath, and remember the One who gave us our value!

At our 6th annual MCL Women's Retreat, we'll worship our Savior, who is worthy of all praise; and we'll be reminded how much He values us - both as His creation and as His bride for whom He died.

This year's conference will be led by keynote speaker Cyndi Grace, worship leader Jennifer Adams, and panelists Mandy Bufkin, Kenya Parks, and Kayla White.

• 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, September 20 (coffee / pastries included)

ABOUT CYNDI GRACE

Cyndi was born into a military family in Denver. She became a Christian at the age of 10, and at age 18 in Long Beach, Mississippi, felt God calling her into full-time Christian ministry. She is a graduate of Mississippi College and has a Women's Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Jerry, have 2 grown children and live in Clinton.

In 1993, Cyndi's "perfect life" crashed around her and she had to accept that she had been relying on her perceived perfection and not God's grace. From that point forward, she wanted nothing more than to show other women how to fall in love with Jesus. In 2001, God called her into a speaking ministry, and she has traveled all over the U.S., parts of Europe, and China, ministering to women with hurts and questions about life. She has written 2 books and several Bible studies.

ABOUT JENNIFER ADAMS

Jennifer is in her 15th year as choral director at Germantown Middle School in Gluckstadt, and she has also served as a church music director in Smith County for several years. More recently, she has written and released several songs of her own, which include scripture references, hymn excerpts, and (sometimes accidentally humorous) personal stories. Jennifer loves singing to the Lord, and her sweet spirit is sure to encourage you as we praise Him together!

ABOUT OUR PANELISTS

Mandy Bufkin

Mandy is a Jackson native and serves as Ministries Director at CityHeart Church in Jackson. She graduated from Belhaven University and previously worked for various nonprofits across the state, as well as serving in multiple ministry roles for 4 churches in Ireland. Mandy enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her husband, Craig, and their sons, Ezra and Shepherd.

Kenya Parks

Kenya is a trusted leader in business, a service coach, and founder of Kenya’s Korner, an organization dedicated to strengthening the minds, body and souls of ladies across the globe. She is a motivational speaker and the award-winning author of 3 books and a fitness journal. On a daily basis, Kenya is operations director at Primos Cafe, with 3 locations in metro Jackson. Kenya firmly believes that in learning who you are through the eyes of our Creator, you strengthen your confidence, and you can and will recover successfully.

Kayla White

Kayla is a licensed professional counselor and founder of Kayla White LPC in Ridgeland. She practices from a faith-based perspective and believes true and complete healing comes from our relationship with Christ. A few of Kayla’s focus areas include identity, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, and trauma. Before establishing her own practice, she practiced at several counseling centers throughout Mississippi. She has a master of arts in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University.
