Herbal Traditions Workshop: Make Your Own Appalachian Fire Cider

Step into the rich heritage of Appalachian folk medicine in this hands-on workshop. Guests will explore the history and wisdom of traditional herbal practices while learning about time-honored remedies passed down through generations. Together, we’ll dive into the story of fire cider — a powerful tonic crafted with apple cider vinegar, roots, and spices — celebrated for its ability to support digestion, boost immunity, and aid in cold and flu season.

Each participant will create and take home their own quart of fire cider, customized to taste, along with knowledge of the Appalachian traditions that make this natural remedy so meaningful.
