Join Katherine Alcauskas, chief curator, for a walkthrough of the exhibition Toshiko Takaezu: Worlds Within. Born of Okinawan heritage in Hawai‘i, Takaezu was a groundbreaking American artist most celebrated for her prolific ceramic sculptures that range in scale from palm-sized works to immersive environments. This first nationally touring retrospective on the artist features over 100 of Takaezu’s artworks, including her ceramics, textiles, paintings, installations, and video work.
Free and open to all. RSVPs recommended. Walk-ins welcome as capacity allows.

Where should I park?
There are several parking garages within a few blocks of the museum. Limited accessible parking stalls are located in front of the building. Contact UW Transportation Services for more information: https://transportation.wisc.edu/visitor-parking/. We are also on several Madison Metro bus routes, and BCycle stations are nearby.
