Rising to fame on TikTok when he was still a teenager and catching the attention of Tyler, the Creator, emerging rapper-producer redveil continues to impress as an artist mature beyond his years. With his latest album, learn 2 swim (2022, Diggers Factory), the 21-year-old sensation takes “a quantum leap in both quality and vision” (Pitchfork). Combining nuanced lyrics and fresh beats with the gospel, funk, and old-school Hip Hop he heard growing up, redveil is an artist who knows both where he comes from and where he’s going.
