September sits between the fiery energy of summer and the grounding pull of autumn. It’s a natural time to let go of what no longer serves us ~habits, emotions, or attachments, so we can prepare for the slower, nourishing season ahead.
Flow of the Experience
Opening Intention (5 min)
We will begin with a short guided reflection: “As the leaves prepare to fall, what are you ready to release from your life?”
We will invite participants to set a personal intention for letting go ~silently or by journaling on a small card. They can place the card under their mat as a symbolic anchor.
Breathwork & Gentle Movement (5 min)
We will lead with a few minutes of cleansing breathwork (deep inhale through the nose, long exhale through the mouth ~“letting go breath”).
Followed by gentle shoulder rolls or stretching to soften the body before settling in.
Sound Journey (40 min)
We will start with grounding instruments like a drum or low gong to connect to the earth.
Then transition into flowing tones of singing bowls and chimes, using a rising and falling rhythm that mimics the cycle of release and renewal.
We will incorporate moments of silence between sounds to emphasize the spaciousness of letting go.
Symbolic Release Ritual (5 min)
We will then invite participants to mentally visualize one thing they're ready to release
Then we will collectively visualize these “falling away” like leaves,
Closing Integration (10 min)
We will end with soft heart-centered instruments (crystal bowl in the heart chakra note, koshi chime, or ocean drum).
