Oak Ridge Cemetery Workday

Join Historic Macon for a work day in Oak Ridge Cemetery, the historically Black section of Rose Hill. It's time for us to do our part and tend to these sacred final resting places by pulling weeds, uncovering headstones, and picking up trash.

Dress appropriately, bring small hand tools (if you own them) and your work gloves. HMF will supply snacks and tools from the Tool Library. Come check out the labors already in progress and the continual needs to be filled!

Oak Ridge shares an entrance with Riverside Cemetery. You may access Oak Ridge by turning into the Madison St. entrance off Riverside Drive. Come through the Oak Ridge gates and walk to the bottom of the hill, where our workday will commence!
