Healthy Heart Screening

During American Heart Month, Piedmont Macon is hosting a "Healthy Heart Screening" on Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Macon Mall at 3661 Eisenhower Parkway.

The screening is free of charge and includes a fasting lipid blood test to check cholesterol, triglycerides and A1C levels, a weight and body mass index, blood pressure checks, a stroke risk assessment and an ankle-brachial index. You'll also be able to speak with clinicians about heart health, stroke prevention, diabetes, nutrition, medication and more!

Anyone interested in having their bloodwork done at the event must fast (no food or drinks) after midnight the night before. To attend, please register in advance by calling 478-538-0408.
