Two iconic Peak District spots in one hike. Starting from Clough House CP we’ll head up the steep ‘Matterhorn of Cheshire’ for some views. A well known distinct hill that can challenge your legs and make you feel like you’ve climbed to the top of the world. After the summit we’ll head around the Cut-Thorn Hill to the popular Peak District beauty spot Three Shires Head where the counties of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire meet at a waterfall and collection of pools on the River Dane. It's a beautiful and easy peak district walk for all of you hill lovers out there.
Well behaved dogs are welcomed on this walk. Make sure you keep them on the lead as we will be crossing sheep grazing fields.
We’ll do some short stops for pictures and food if you want to bring some small snacks for the hike.
Make sure you bring good footwear and dress appropriately for the weather (spare waterproofs are always a good idea).
Terrain and footpaths on this hike are relatively easy but can be rocky or slippery so make sure you watch your step. Ascent/descent Shutlinsloe is relatively steep and requires shoes with decent grip; it can be very slippery when wet.
Bad reception in the area - if you use your phone to navigate to and back from Car Park make sure you pre-download the map/route.
