OCTOBER 26 ( sunday / rātapu )
Session #21 feat. the incredible
JORDAN HAMEL
BEN BROWN
SOLOMONA DAVIS / MONA VASA
I'm fangirling this one a bit.
Details:
7pm event start(sign up list available from 6.30pm)
7.05pm open mic (once the list is full it's full)
8ish break
8.20ish re-begin, featured sets
Bookings- please note due to the wonderful problem of increasing attendance numbers, it is becoming very difficult for us to regulate booked tables and so with your patience Sherpa Kai would ask the following-
if you absolutely require a table for your group for the session, we recommend you arrive before 6.30pm (or earlier- Sherpa Kai opens from 4.30pm) and settle in / order in good time- this is due to the nature of the incoming body rush at 7pm and the fact we are a small team. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you.
(The food is nepalese and delicious by the way)
Suggested koha $10-15 if you are able - it helps to pay for time, artists, costs, & is deeply appreciated
Gratitude to Amanda, Thendup and the team at @sherpakai for their warm hospitality and fun support this past few years!
Gratitude also to Cass Booth for her generous support ensuring I can pay the artists a decent fee or support their travel.
All are welcome to listen and share spoken art, kupu, thoughts, words, poetry, heart
Common Ground is all about a warm, brave, welcome space - a place to listen to one another, in respect, in celebration, sharing brave new work or old favourites, sitting, standing, sharing common ground
Nau mai, haere mai
Bring the gifts forward!
