Curating the Imperial Image - Public Lecture

Come along to AKS from 6.15pm for coffee and home made cakes, second hand bookstall, raffle and a friendly welcome before we listen to Dr Hannah Cornwell (University of Birmingham) talk to us about the Emperor Augustus!

Hannah, an Associate Professor in Ancient History, specialises in Roman political and social history of the Republic and Early Empire, focusing on Imperialism, peace, and diplomacy, and this talk will examine how Octavian went from violent victor at the Battle of Actium to peace-mongering, 'Father of the Fatherland'.

Tickets are available on the door for £5 a ticket, or free to members.
