Colorado Connection at OB-Lyons

We'll be back at our Home Town Venue to play some Bluegrass Album Band for the lovely Lyons community!


The Bluegrass Album Band was a supergroup of renowned bluegrass musicians formed in 1980 by Tony Rice and J.D. Crowe. Originally intended as a one-off project to record a Tony Rice solo album, the collaboration proved successful, leading to the release of six albums throughout the decade. The band featured a core lineup of Tony Rice, J.D. Crowe, Doyle Lawson, Bobby Hicks, and Todd Phillips, with occasional additions like Jerry Douglas and Vassar Clements. They are known for their traditional bluegrass sound, showcasing the talents of its members, many of whom were known for their progressive bluegrass styles.
