Girls in STEM Day!

The outlook for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers in the long run is really promising, with job growth expected to outpace that in non-STEM fields. That said, women make up about 1 in 4 workers in the global STEM workforce. These careers tend to offer good pay, and many can be done remotely, which helps improve work-life balance and gives people the flexibility to choose where they want to live. Plus, some fields like medicine are especially in high demand in rural communities, making a real difference where it’s needed most.

The AuSable Inclusion Center’s “Girls in STEM” day is a wonderful opportunity for girls of all ages to meet inspiring women who are currently working in STEM careers or who have recently retired from them. They’ll share their journeys and insights. There will also be a fun straw tower building contest, and the winner will go home with a hobby-quality telescope!
