Hope you can join the Action for Animals Humane Society for their "Walk for the Animals" which will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Twin Lakes Park (Pavilion #20 & Activity Center), 219 Twin Lakes Road in Latrobe PA. The walk is from 11 am to 3 pm.
* Check-in and registration at 11:00 am
* Walk starts at noon (rain or shine)
* Blessing of the pets
* Basket and 50/50 raffles
* Vendors and caricature artist
* Free pup cups and water for the dogs
* Games, contests and prizes
* Agility course
* Lauren's Wing The Fund for Animal Care table
* Ask the Vet and much more!
You may walk in person or participate virtually from your favorite walking spot. The walker who raises the most pledge money will win a prize!
*Pre-registration fee - $30.00 or day of walk - $40.00. Children registration fee is $20.00. Registration fee includes an Action for Animals Walk for the Animals tee shirt, boxed lunch and a treat bag for your furry friend!
** Donated baskets are being accepted for the Walk for the Animals raffle. We are in need of already made baskets, basket items, monetary donations, gift cards and scratch off lottery tickets. If you can't make a basket, we can put one together if you provide the items. If you are able to help, please drop off your basket or items in the shelter lobby by Monday, September 8, 2025. The shelter is located at 386 State Route 217 in Latrobe PA (lobby is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm).
