Handstand workshop for beginners:
The workshop has three parts:
Yoga warm up flow: quick vinyasa flow to warm up the whole body, with a focus on wrists and shoulders, aka the feet and hips of a handstand
Theory: we will go through the theoretical aspects of a handstand and how to get a solid foundation
Practice: first, we will learn how to fall from a handstand (we will work in pairs). Then, we will cover 3 entries into handstand:
tuck
one-legged
straddle
Stretch-time and Savasana
Description:
This handstand workshop is specifically designed for beginners. It has two aims: get comfortable upside down and have fun while learning! We start with a nice yoga warm up flow, then we go through the theoretical parts on how to build a strong foundation; then, we move on to the practice of learning how to fall and how to enter into a handstand in three different ways (we will work in pairs to spot each other). Don't worry: stretching and Savasana are always a must at the end.
Prerequisites: two hands and curiosity 😉
