Join us for the ITS Open Doors event, an opportunity to explore the exciting world of hospitality and tourism. Whether you are considering a career in culinary arts, travel and tourism, events management, food and beverage service, or diving safety management, this event offers a first hand look at what ITS has to offer.

Block A
· Library - Meet the library team and learn about academic resources, study spaces and student support services.
· Rooms A008 & A009 - Work-Based Learning Department (Internship Office) - Learn how internships work at ITS, including placement support and real-world industry exposure.
· Room A013 - Student Wellbeing Department - Get career guidance and support in choosing the right path for you. Our team is here to help you explore your options and discuss the best course to match your goals.
· Room A101 - Housekeeping Room - Housekeeping Department - Experience hotel operations through interactive activities including bed-making challenges, towel origami, stain removal demonstrations, room inspections and guided tours of housekeeping facilities.
Block B
· Youth Hub – Agenzija Żgħażagħ – In collaboration with ITS, Agenzija Żgħażagħ provides a safe and welcoming space at the Youth Hub. Youth workers will be available to interact with current students and visitors, offering support and guidance as well as explaining their services throughout the year.
· Runway Restaurant - At the Runway Restaurant, we will be showcasing hands-on activities related to Protocol, Events and Children’s Party Planning. Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a range of interactive activities, including:
o VIP Seating Challenge – A quick task where participants arrange a seating plan using protocol rules.
o Create an Event Moodboard – Guests build an event moodboard together with our students.
o Balloon Twisting Mini-Workshop – Learn how to create simple balloon shapes.
o Plan the Perfect Kids’ Party – Draw cards and build a children’s party concept on the spot.
o Correct the Table Setting – Guests are invited to fix mistakes in a formal table set-up.
o Kitchen Treats Corner – Together with our kitchen students, bite-size canapés will be prepared showcasing ideal food items for state events. Children visiting the area will also have the opportunity to decorate their own mini cupcakes, highlighting creative food ideas for kids’ parties.
· Runway Kitchen - Participate in hands-on finger food preparation alongside our lecturers and students.
· Runway Bar - Enjoy hands-on mocktail preparation sessions.
· Voyage Restaurant – Guéridon Service - Experience classic tableside service and professional gueridon techniques.
· Voyage Bar – A hands-on experience where visitors can practise coffee production and learn how to prepare a variety of beverages, including cappuccino, hot chocolate, and liqueur coffees.
· Voyage Pastry Lab - A practical session led by our chef lecturers, where visitors can watch live demonstrations and tastings of chocolate centrepieces and pulled sugar creations.
· Rooms B105 & B106 - Languages & Culture Hub - Explore languages such as French, German, and Spanish through cultural tastings, quizzes, and interactive activities.
· Outside Room B107 - Erasmus Office - Learn about international study opportunities, student exchanges and Erasmus mobility.
· Block B Level 1 Foyer - ITS Training School - Find out about short courses and industry-focused training opportunities
· Room B110 - Individual Pastry Lab - Enjoy mini desserts and chocolate pralines prepared by pastry students.
· Room B111 - MA in Heritage Interpretation - Discover heritage through artefacts, storytelling, immersive VR experiences and a dedicated children’s heritage activity area.
· Room B112 - Tourist Guiding - Experience Malta’s history through period costumes, guided storytelling, quizzes and an interactive photo booth.
· Room B205 - MBA in International Hospitality Management -Engage with MBA students across themes such as luxury tourism, strategic marketing, sustainable people management and airport operations.
· Room B206 - Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management - Explore management and leadership journey timelines showcasing students’ professional growth and career aspirations.
· Wine Lab – Room B212 - Wine Masterclasses - Take part in guided wine tasting sessions led by expert lecturer, Aaron Rizzo.
· Room B213 - Climate Friendly Travel - Learn about sustainable tourism practices and responsible travel initiatives.
· Room B214 - Front Office - Experience hotel reception operations through role-play, telephone etiquette training and guest complaint handling.
· Room B215 - Diving Safety Management - Discover dive safety operations, management principles and career pathways.
· Room B216 - Screen Arts Academy - Explore filmmaking and screen arts through creative demonstrations and projects.
· Room B207 – Travel and Tourism – An interactive showcase featuring seven themed sections, where students present key modules from the Travel & Tourism course at Certificate and Diploma levels.
Block C
· Apron Grab & Go – Enjoy a piazzetta-style experience featuring a full buffet and pasta station, smoothies and boba pearls, popcorn, hot and soft drinks, and children’s animation. Students will manage both food preparation and service as part of their practical training.
Registration
Upon arrival at the ITS campus, be sure to register at the reception areas in Block A or Block B. Tokens will be given to a limited number of early registrants.
