My new novel is now launching earlier than expected. The official launch reading will be at - where else? - LaHave River Books, possibly the best indie bookstore in the whole world. Certainly my favourite. I'd love to see you there!
On Hammet Shore is a poignant tale of living, loving, and departing. It was inspired by my great uncle's journal notes and by local events and places. The blurb:
Henry has loved her, one way and another, for nearly as long as he’s loved Little Hammet: his birthplace, the place where they first met, the shore which forever draws him back. The island and the woman are the twin stars which, for better or worse, have steered the course of his life.
That life now has an end in sight. A graceful, carefully arranged exit of this own choosing. In these last remaining days there are preparations to make, memories to revisit, and a whole life to make sense of - if that’s possible.
Copies will be available to buy and sign. Thanks to Askance Publishing for getting this out into the world.
