Workshop: PILATES: From Principles to Practice with Katerina
In this workshop we’ll dive a little deeper into the world of Pilates.
Pilates is a holistic Mind-Body practice comprised of 6 basic principles that form the foundation of the Pilates method as Joseph Pilates envisioned it: Breath, Concentration, Center, Control, Precision and Flow.
Incorporating these principles in our Pilates practice we become more aware of our own body with all our senses something that can truly maximize the benefits.
By applying the principles to all exercises we create a red thread throughout the session that facilitates a well-executed, more efficient and safer practice.
Expect a mix of brief theory (work-in) and sweaty practice (work-out) for strength, flexibility, mobility and greater body awareness.
Suitable for all levels, just bring your curiosity and interest in understanding the foundations of the wonderful Pilates method.
