All catechists and Catholic School teachers are invited to join us at St. Anthony for a Catechist Day of Reflection
We will begin our day in the Church with 9:00 a.m. First Saturday Mass with Deacon Michael Whitehouse, Deputy Director of Faith Formation for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, as homilist
(Confession will begin at 8am)
A light breakfast will be served after Mass
Benediction will be led by Fr. Paul Clark, Pastor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Hahnville, and Dean of the St. John-St. Charles Deanery.
Lunch will be served after Benediction
Our main presenter, Jewell Bayhi, will address catechists on the Catechetical Sunday theme for the year, “ “Always be ready to give an explanation…for a reason for your hope” 1 Pet 3:15
Jewell Bayhi is currently the Coordinator for Grief Ministry for the Archdiocese of New Orleans in the Office of Marriage and Family Life. Prior to her fulltime Grief Ministry, Jewell was the Director of Religious Education at Mary, Queen of Peace in Mandeville, Louisiana for 23 years, as well as St. Edmond in Lafayette, Louisiana.
