Workshop: Speculative Writing, Infrastructure and Futures

Welcome to a condensed version of the original workshop exploring how language, stories and metaphors shape our understanding of the digital infrastructures that surround us – while at the same time contributing to the upcoming exhibition Sprickor i taket at Konsthallen.

Together with artist Gloria López Cleries, you will take part in speculative writing exercises and collective reflection. The session will also include a fika, offering a moment to pause and share thoughts informally. The texts and ideas generated during the workshop will become part of the exhibition.

No previous experience is required – only curiosity. The workshop is open to anyone interested in art, culture, technology, storytelling and questions about the future.

Language: We speak both English and Swedish, with a preference for participants who understand English - but it's perfectly fine to only speak and write in Swedish!

This workshop is organised in collaboration with RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden, KKV – Konstnärernas Kollektivverkstad Luleå, Sunderby folkhögskola and Konsthallen Kulturens hus, with support from HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg.
