Pumpkin Carving Contest

Think you and your team can carve the best pumpkins in Lubbock? Put your skills to the test with Lubbock Parks and Recreation's Pumpkin Carving Competition 2025!
Registration is free, opening on September 15, 2025, and closing on October 12, 2025. Teams must consist of between 2 and 10 members. Each team will receive carving materials and 10 pumpkins.

Check-in begins at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Hodges Community Center (4011 University Ave). Pumpkin carving starts immediately after check-in and ends promptly at 9:00 PM. Judging will take place the following morning, Thursday, October 16, 2025, and winners will be notified accordingly.

All completed pumpkins will be featured in the 17th Annual Pumpkin Trail, provided they meet Pumpkin Trail guidelines. Teams completing all 10 pumpkins will receive a group sign displayed along the Pumpkin Trail.
