------
Taryn Kawaja is a singer-pianist and songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose music moves with elegance, intimacy and emotional truth. Born and raised on an island in the Atlantic, she brings together a rigorous classical background and a restless questioning spirit to create songs about love, lineage, heartbreak and lust.

Her sound is a haunting fusion of neo-classical structure and moody folk, lush with piano motifs, vivid lyrical storytelling, and melodies that linger in the air. She has been compared to artists like Tori Amos and Amy Winehouse for her ability to combine vocal vulnerability with poetic strength.

Through performances and collaborations across Canada (and beyond), Taryn has built a reputation for virtuosic playing and beautifully vulnerable poetics—her songs feel like quiet confessions, yet hit with powerful emotional resonance. Don’t miss the chance to hear her—every phrase she sings is alive, intentional, and unforgettable.
