MX-5 Rally - Sunday 15th Feb
Please note that this is a rally, and not a race. So, you need to follow provided instructions, and answer questions along the way correctly to win a prize. There is no prize for being the fastest. This rally has been organized for the Kapiti chapter of the MX-5 Club of NZ, but any other MX-5 drivers are welcome. Details below:
We will be meeting at the same place as last time - the Park 'n' Ride carpark at Manor Park, Lower Hutt, at 9am. Don't worry - we'll be doing completely different roads this time!
There is no breakfast at the start, but if people are interested, we could informally meet at Town & Country in Stokes Valley for breakfast beforehand,then all drive to the Park 'n' Ride together in convoy.
You will need to bring a pen or pencil, and something to press on, such as a clipboard, or a hardcover book. You will also need something you can take evidence photos with - a cellphone or digital camera will be fine.
I also highly, highly recommend that you bring a co-driver, as it will make things infinitely easier for you. Call Russell on 021 0269 3224 if you have trouble finding a co-driver, as I can assist with that!
Like last time, there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd, but the prizes are based on who gets the most answers correct, and NOT on who is fastest to complete the course.
Lunch will be at the end point, so bring some $$$ with you.
Snacks will again be provided along the way. This event is free for members of The Kapiti Chapter of the MX-5 Club of NZ, or $2 per car for non-members of that club. This will cover the cost of the provided snacks, plus the photocopying. Thanks.
Further instructions on the day, but if you attended the last rally I organised, then you'll know what to expect. You'll need about 1/2 a tank of gas.
