Hunt for the Wilderpeople

The film follows Ricky Baker, a rebellious young boy in the New Zealand foster care system, who is taken in by a couple living in the countryside. After the sudden death of his foster mother, Ricky fakes his own death to avoid being sent back to the foster care system. This leads to a manhunt for him and his cantankerous foster uncle, Hector, played by Sam Neill. The two must navigate the wild New Zealand bush while evading authorities, leading to a series of comedic and heartfelt adventures.
