Create for a Cause” ART WEEK was a huge success over the three days, with the school buzzing with creativity, collaboration, and connection to our theme. Students worked in mixed-age Tuakana–Teina groups, producing artworks that were diverse in medium yet united by the kaupapa of belonging and place. There was a strong sense of whanaungatanga as boys collaborated, supported one another, and expressed their individuality through creative projects inspired by whenua and rangi.
Plans are now in place for the Residency & Student Art Exhibition, 2nd September, where all artworks and sculptures will be celebrated.
We are also excited to celebrate the conclusion of Dean Proudfoot’s Artist Residency, during which he has immersed himself in Wellesley’s culture and the stunning natural surroundings of Days Bay. Dean has created a captivating collection of works that reflect his experience here, which will be unveiled at the exhibition.
📅 Exhibition Details:
Date: Tuesday 2 September
