A profilometer is a non-contact optical measurement system that captures high-resolution 3D surface profiles and roughness data. It is widely used in both industrial and research settings for applications such as quality control, surface finish analysis, wear evaluation, and characterization of micro- and nanoscale features in semiconductors, medical devices, advanced materials, and thin films.
