Local History Meeting - Dick Howe - The Founding of Lowell

In a remarkable two decades, Lowell, Massachusetts, exploded from a sparsely populated farming community of fewer than 200 people to become the second largest city in Massachusetts and a hub of global attention. Join Lowell historian Richard Howe Jr. as he uncovers the fascinating story of this unparalleled transformation.

Richard Howe Jr. is the former Register of Deeds for the Middlesex North District and is the author of several books on the history of Lowell and the founder of the hyperlocal website richardhowe.com which has covered Lowell politics and history since 2007.
