Christopher Groves-“ Painting Water and Water Reflections”

In this three-day studio workshop, students will explore the subject of water. Focus will be on the surface of still water, and the process of building the illusion of reflections. We will also explore how to create a sense of depth, translucency and light, along with movement and motion in various water conditions. Each morning will feature a lecture and quick process demonstration. Afternoon sessions will be devoted to student work with lots of one-on-one instruction. Please bring your own water and water reflection photos as reference for painting. Demos and lecture using oil paint for this workshop, but acrylics are welcome.
