About this Event

🌱 From Seed to Success: A Hands-On Seed-Starting Workshop + Seed Swap

Plant a few seeds, enjoy a pint, and grow something great.

Ready to start your own vegetable and flower seedlings this season—without the stress or guesswork?

Join us for a 2-hour, hands-on seed-starting workshop at Outback Brewhouse. This relaxed, social class will show you how to start seeds successfully at home using a simple approach that will work in YOUR space —no greenhouse or fancy equipment needed.

We’ll focus on the basics that matter most: when to start, which seeds to choose, how to use soil, light, warmth, and water—and avoid the common mistakes that cause seeds to fail.

Plants and pints—why not?

🌼 What’s included with your ticket:

Each participant will receive a complete seed-starting setup to use during the workshop and take home, including:

  • Seed-starting soil
  • A full 10x20 tray with 32 seed cells
  • A clear humidity cover
  • Access to a wide variety of vegetable and flower seeds
  • Take Home Planting Guide
  • One Pint from Outback Brewhouse's Selection of Craft Beer

You’ll plant your seeds during the session and leave with a tray ready to grow.

🌱 What you’ll learn:
  • When it’s worth starting seeds yourself (and when it isn’t)
  • How to set up a simple seed-starting system at home
  • Proper planting depth and techniques—including tiny flower seeds
  • How to care for seedlings from germination through transplant
  • How to avoid the most common seed-starting mistakes

🌿 After the workshop: Community Seed Swap (Open to Everyone)

Stick around after the class for a community seed swap:

  • Bring seeds to share or trade (or just browse)
  • Explore what others have brought
  • Contribute to or browse the potting-supply donation station (gently used pots, trays, and supplies)

We’ll also have a small selection of seed-starting tools and kits available for purchase if you’d like to expand your setup.

🍺 Location & Vibe

The workshop takes place at Outback Brewhouse—feel free to grab a drink before, during, or after the session and enjoy the relaxed, community-focused setting.

Whether you’re brand new to gardening or have had mixed results in the past, you’ll leave with planted trays, practical know-how, and the confidence to grow your own seedlings this season.

🌼 Come for the knowledge. Stay for the community. Leave ready to grow.
