The Matt Carlson Memorial Crawl

Hello everyone. I myself along with a few others have taken it upon ourselves to organize this event in honor of our friend/Brother Matt Carlson. On May 18th 2025, we lost a big part of the RC community in the Rockford area.. Many of you knew Who Matt was. Matt enjoyed many parts of the RC hobby. And he did his whole life. This Memorial event is just something that we can all get together and reminisce. Many of us have great stories with Matt! And I know he always enjoyed the fall crawls. So we figured what better way to do it then mixing the two together in celebration of his life. The location for this event will be the West Lake Shelter in Rock Cut State Park. It is the place where we have hosted the Fall Crawl and other events before. It is also the place that we are all familiar with meeting up at for all of our weekly crawls. We will have grills. But right now all of the food details have yet to be worked out. I will update the food situation as soon as I get it figured out. We have the Pavilion rented out all day long. The event will start at 10:00 am and will go until the park closes if we please. I really hope to see everybody out there. Please let's make this an awesome event. I know Matt will be looking down on us smiling for sure!
