We are honoured to have been instructed by Graham and Bryan Parkinson to carry out the Dispersal Sale of the Donington Herd of Pedigree Lincoln Red Cattle to be sold at Louth Livestock Market (and online bidding via Marteye) on Friday 17th October 2025.
The Donington Herd was formed in 1963 by the Parkinson family and has been successfully out-wintered and calved outside in April/May since 1969, stock being used to set up numerous prestigious herds across the country.
Their first showing success came at the Royal Smithfield Show in 1970 with Donington Nick winning Reserve Breed Champion. The 70s saw the herd win many awards including Donington Zechariah coming first at the Palermo International Show & Sale in Argentina, selling for ten million six hundred thousand pesetas (£10,600) in 1978.
This full herd dispersal sale will include approximately 45 cows and calves, 15 in calf heifers and 15 bulling heifers along with two Lincoln Red stock bulls, Donington Buccaneer and Holegate Bandit, Senior and Supreme Champion Bull at the LRCS Annual Pedigree Spring Show and Sale in March 2024, acquired for 10,000 Gns.
