Lourdes, France
Only get lost while having fun, not on the road!
September 5 - 9, 2025
More than 5 million pilgrims and visitors from all over the world visit Lourdes every year following in the footsteps of Bernadette Soubirous. Pilgrimage to Lourdes is a very personal experience, it is a healing journey. By taking a break from everyday life we can refocus on what's really important. We designed this pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes for those who are looking for the opportunity to spend more time in Lourdes to pray and reflect on their own.
The following are included in your pilgrimage package:
The following are NOT included in your pilgrimage package:
Day 1 Friday September 5: Arrival to Lourdes, France
Arrive at Lourdes Tarbes Airport or Lourdes Train Station. Your English speaking guides meets you and drives you to your hotel, Hôtel Eliséo, a newly built modern hotel located just 5 minutes walking distance from the sanctuaries. Since participants will arrive at different times, today will be spent getting everyone situated. If you arrive early in the day, you will have time to relax or explore the area before our welcome dinner at the hotel. After dinner, you may join the beautiful Marian candlelight procession at 8 pm before retiring to your hotel overnight.
Day 2 Saturday September 6: Lourdes Guided Tour
After breakfast we'll have a guided tour to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes a Catholic Marian shrine and pilgrimage site. The sanctuary includes the Massabielle Grotto where Saint Bernadette saw 18 visions of the Virgin Mary and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. We will also visit the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception a Gothic-style church that tells the story of the Virgin Mary through its stained-glass windows.
After dinner we may return to the Sanctuary area for the Torchlight Procession, a powerful and moving experience with prayers and candlelight.
Day 3 - Sunday September 7: Day of Prayer
After breakfast, we begin this morning with Mass at the Grotto followed by the Stations of the Cross, beautifully set on a hillside near the Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. The balance of the afternoon is at your leisure for reflections. Tonight we gather for a dinner celebration at the local restaurant. After dinner we will return to the Sanctuary for the Rosary and Torchlight Procession beginning about 8:00PM (subject to the local schedule).
Day 4 - Monday September 8: Free day at Lourdes to have a unique experience
Today we have entirely at our leisure in Lourdes. Feel free to explore this spiritual oasis; take contemplative walks, pray, meditate and be at peace. There's a lot to do in this 130-acre spiritual center. Whether alone or with friends and family, pilgrims come to Lourdes to rest, recover, be comforted, and regain courage. The sick come to pray for recovery or just to feel supported. Visit and pray in sanctuaries, spend some time and pray at the Grotto where Bernadette saw the Virgin Mary. You can drink the water at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, collect it in bottles or take it home. The water is said to have healing properties and pilgrims believe it's a vehicle for faith, grace, and intercession.
After dinner we may return to the Sanctuary for the Rosary and Torchlight Procession beginning about 8:00PM (subject to the local schedule).
Day 5 - Tuesday September 9: Departure - Lourdes / Tarbes–Lourdes–Pyrénées Airport
This morning, after breakfast, you check out from your Hotel and have a private transfer to Tarbes–Lourdes–Pyrénées Airport for your departure flight home or you can continue your exploration to Paris, Barcelona, or other destinations. We wish you well on your way home.
