This special after-hours event—hosted by WheelHouse Art Gallery in Louisville's Crescent Hill neighborhood—showcases local artist Sabra L. Crockett's latest exhibition, "I See No Leaders."
Crockett's beautiful, intricately detailed, and emotionally charged new paintings—such as "Ukraine," depicted here—the national birds and flowers of conflict-plagued countries across the world.
The event also includes:
-a structured Q&A with the artist, moderated by gallery owner Daniel Pfalzgraf, with time for audience questions
-a discussion about birds and art history by local art historian Brenda Edgar
-time to meet and chat with fellow art lovers and birders as you view Crockett's paintings, as well as collections of work by Daniel Pfalzgraf with Beth Reitmeyer, Lynn Carden, Robert Stagg, Kit-Keung Kan, Tony Saladino, and more
-the opportunity to hear about Lights Out Louisville—a local conservation initiative sponsored by Louisville Audubon—and learn some simple ways you can make migration safer for birds
