Organ Concert - Martyn Noble

For the last of our Summer Sundays @6 organ concerts, we look forward to welcoming Martyn Noble who is a Teacher of Organ at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, from where he graduated. Martyn has given recitals in various Royal Palaces and major Cathedrals. Prior to pursuing a freelance career, Martyn spent more than 10 years working at His Majesty’s Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, both as Sub-Organist and Acting Director of Music and has previously held organ posts in Liverpool and Southwark Cathedrals.

Toccata and Fugue in D minor (BWV 565) – J.S. Bach
Prelude in F major – Fanny Mendelssohn
Nimrod from Enigma Variations – Edward Elgar
Fiesta – Emma Lou Diemer
Toccata from Organ Symphony No. 5, (Op. 42) – Charles-Marie Widor

Refreshments are served afterwards
A short service of compline is held at approximately 7pm
