About the event

Learning and Leading in the Age of AI: New Tools, Skills, and Strategies
Develop capacity in leading learning for faculty and staff that supports responsible and meaningful adoption of AI!

About this Event

Generative AI is evolving at a pace few of us could have imagined. While the possibilities for education are exciting, the challenges are many. This three-day, in-person institute invites educators and school leaders to develop the mindsets, skills, and practical applications needed most in this rapidly changing landscape keeping human relationships at the center.

With Eric Hudson as our core facilitator, this collaboration between CATDC and Midland School combines hands-on learning with thoughtful dialogue, ensuring participants leave with technical know-how and a clear vision for how AI can enhance the human elements at the heart of education. You and your team will join a cohort of peers to gain tools and strategies you can implement immediately while enjoying a beautiful setting that inspires reflection and connection.

Classroom educators will:

  • Create assessments that leverage AI tools to more effectively personalize learning as well as boost student engagement
  • Build AI literacy to better evaluate AI outputs and facilitate responsible, ethical, and meaningful AI use for students
  • Develop AI-driven workflow strategies for planning, grading, and administrative tasks, leaving more time to engage with students and colleagues

School leaders will:

  • Establish AI policies and ethical frameworks that align with their school’s mission, vision, and values
  • Integrate AI use to support data-driven decision making, assessment, and the tracking of student success
  • Explore solutions to streamline school operations for greater efficiency and impact
  • Develop capacity in leading learning for faculty and staff that supports responsible and meaningful adoption of AI

This program is inspired by and modeled after the successful Summer AI Institute at Lakefield College School in Ontario, Canada.

AUDIENCE

The Summer Institute is designed for teams of three or more from one school, including classroom teachers and administrative leaders who want to deepen their understanding of AI and its implications for teaching, learning, and operation at their schools. Participants will leave with new skills, knowledge, and strategies tailored to their roles to bring back to their classrooms and school communities.

By registering for this workshop, you will also be added to our mailing list to receive updates about future programs, resources, and events. You can unsubscribe at any time.
