Designing the MCU with Marvel Studios Visual Development

Join us on Wednesday, October 8th, at 7:00 PM PT at the Dell Stage on Gnomon’s campus for an exclusive in-person event with Marvel Studios! This event will explore the creative process behind several projects within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, offering rare insights into the Visual Development team’s careers, methods, and inspirations.

The event will feature concept art and process breakdowns from recent Marvel titles, including Fantastic Four: First Steps, Thunderbolts, Captain America: Brave New World, Agatha All Along, Loki (Season 2), Ironheart, and more.

Marvel VisDev artists will also share how they entered the studio, how their experiences inform their work, and what it takes to succeed in the competitive world of visual development. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day process of the team, from taking on new assignments to collaborating across departments on film and Disney+ projects. The panelists will also discuss the programs, techniques, and skills they recommend for aspiring artists.

Before the event begins, the Gnomon Student Store will have limited quantities of Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts art books available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, three copies will be raffled off to attendees at the end of the event.

Attendees will be able to ask questions during a live Q&A, connect with other artists, and enjoy complimentary pizza. Campus tours with a Gnomon representative will also be available before the event.
